Trying to Move Nevada
Further and Further Left

Dallas Harris is one of the most liberal members of Nevada’s State Senate. In just one term, she’s pushed soft-on-crime policies, spent big on herself, and even tried to allow homeless camps in our neighborhoods.

INVITING HOMELESSNESS INTO OUR NEIGHBORHOODS

Harris was one of the primary sponsors of a bill that would have made homeless tent encampments in neighborhoods legal. Her bill would have dramatically changed the appearance, value and safety of our suburban neighborhoods.1

If Harris got her way, we would be surrounded by homelessness and the dangers that come with it …

Soft On Crime

Harris voted to raise the felony threshold for “smash-and-grab” crimes to $1,200 and now police can only issue citations - similar to parking tickets - for smash and grab crimes, with no jail time. That threshold is higher than even that of California.2

She also voted to Raise the threshold for the amount of illegal drugs like cocaine, meth, and fentanyl required to be considered “trafficking” from 8 grams to 100 grams.2

Taking away choices for families in failing schools

Dallas Harris voted to cut funding for scholarships that serve low-income and minority families. These scholarships allow families of children in failing schools to find a school that works for them. If re-elected, Harris will continue to vote for the status quo in education. No choices – same failing schools.3

Spending Big on Herself

While Nevadans struggle to find affordable housing and pay for everyday necessities, Harris voted to spend $127 million on new government offices in Las Vegas for herself and another $30 million for 117 additional staff members.4

To make matters worse, Harris has embraced the status quo of exempting the State Legislature and Members of the State Legislature from public records requests, ethical oversight, and open-meeting laws that apply to other branches of state government, which has resulted in a culture of corruption in the State Legislature.5
